Leadership
OC Bible Church is currently led by a leadership team which includes the men below. We are led by a plurality of elders, supported by the ministry of deacons.
Amos Lee, Pastor
Amos currently serves as the teaching pastor, responsible for feeding the flock through the teaching and preaching of the word of God. He is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary (M.Div, 2018; Th.M, 2024). Amos was blessed to have grown up in a loving Christian home, with a father who is in pastoral ministry. In 2011, Amos first came to OC Bible as a college student at Biola University, sitting under the verse-by-verse teaching of Pastor Dennis Wilson, our founding Pastor. Under Dennis’ discipleship, Amos was privileged to serve OC Bible as a pastoral intern (2015-2018), then as a deacon (2019-2020), then as an Associate Pastor (2021-2024). In February 2024, Amos was then entrusted with the role of teaching pastor upon Dennis’ retirement. Amos continues to serve with Dennis as a secretary on the board of LifeBridge. Amos and his wife, Catherine, have one daughter.
John Carbonneau, Pastor
John currently serves as a pastor, overseeing our Men’s Discipleship and Counseling ministries. After graduating from The Master’s Seminary (M.Div. 1992), John pastored in two church plants in Northern Colorado. From 1999 to 2007 he was sent by Grace Ministries International to serve as professor of Pastoral Ministries at Irpin Biblical Seminary, Ukraine (an institute of The Master’s Academy International). After returning from the field, he resumed an earlier career in software development and retired from Pacific Life Insurance Company in 2024. John and his wife, Kathy, have three children and one grandchild.
Jonathan Chun, Deacon
Jonathan had the privilege of growing up with Christian parents who taught him the truths of God. At an early age, the Holy Spirit used this teaching to convict him of his sins and his need for a Savior. Jonathan served as the Children’s Ministry Director for 5 years in his former church in Berkeley, California (2004-2009). In 2009, Jonathan and his wife Alina moved down to Orange County with others from their church to help plant OC Bible. Since September 2009, Jonathan has served OC Bible as a deacon, primarily focused on the stewardship of the church’s finances. The Lord has given Jonathan and Alina the joy of having three sons.
Rodney Francis, Deacon
Rodney is grateful to serve as a deacon at OC Bible Church since 2022. Christ saved him when he was eight, and He gave him Christian parents who worked diligently to raise him in a way that honored God. They kept Rodney involved in church and Christian schooling, always participating in various ministries. Rodney grew up watching his mother drive a Sunday School bus in downtown Atlanta and his father lead his home church’s College and Career Department. From their example, he learned that God calls us to actively serve Him in many different ways. Over the years, Rodney has had opportunities to mow church lawns, clean buildings, serve as an usher and a deacon, and teach God's word. God also blessed him with his wife Wendy, and they have four children, and three grandchildren. Above all, his deepest desire is to serve the Lord in the church in whatever ways He wills.
Dennis Wilson, Founding Pastor
Dennis is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary (M.Div, 1998), and served in pastoral ministry since 1996 in Southern California and Idaho. In 2011, Dennis served as teaching pastor of OC Bible under the ministry of Grace Advance, before retiring in January 2024. Currently, Dennis continues to direct a mission board, LifeBridge, which oversees churches and orphanages in East Africa.
